The Middle School

The Middle School begins in Grade 6 and ends in Grade 9.

CPF Metn is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

The curriculum is primarily aligned with the common core standards and prepares Lebanese students to sit for the National Brevet Exam. Interdisciplinary Learning is central to our Teaching and Learning Practices.

Middle school students engage in a well-rounded curriculum that fosters:

  • Effective and transferable learning skills, including time and self-management,
  • Innovative problem-solving techniques.
  • Advanced writing and communication skills.

Middle School Students are encouraged to act as responsible citizens and to exert their civil role through their participation in a variety of councils and social actions that take place on and off campus.

 

*Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
