On the way to the new French Baccalaureate.

At the “Seconde” level, common lessons focus on consolidation fundamental learning.

With a French language examination at the end of “Première”, followed by four final tests and continuous assessment component, the baccalaureate is now more structured, transparent, and equitable. Unlike previous years, where students were evaluated solely through a few days of exams at the end of "Terminale", the new system assesses their work over two years. This "Equality Baccalaureate" ensures that all students benefit from s strong foundation of shared knowledge in " Première" and "Terminale", covering: French, Philosophy (in “Terminale”), History - Geography, Moral and civic Education, two Foreign Languages, Physical education and sports.

This will equip all the "Lycée" students with the knowledge they need to navigate and engage effectively in the 21st century.

This baccalaureate is a "Baccalaureate of success" as “Lycée” students three specialty courses in “Première”, then focus on two in “Terminale”. These subjects are allocated increased instructional hours, allowing students ample time to deepen their understanding and progress in the disciplines they are passionate about.

It is also a fair baccalaureate since "Lycée" students receive guidance in making informed choices regarding their subjects. Dedicated orientation sessions help them design their academic path based on their interests, motivations, and future aspirations. Additionally, the final oral examination "Grand Oral", one of the four tests in " Terminale" (alongside Philosophy and the two Speciality tests), provides an essential opportunity for the students to develop strong communication skills, crucial for success in both their personal and professional lives.

To enhance students' scientific proficiency, mathematics was reintroduced into the common core curriculum in September 2023.
